Kinston baseball coach Jason Wade just sent me an e-mail letting me know that his mother had passed at around 11:30 a.m. today. He said he didn’t mind me posting it on the blog here so we could pass along our condolences to him and his family.
Coach — as I said in my e-mail, you and your family are in my prayers. I’m sure all the other folks in our little blog family here feel the same way. If there’s anything I can do for you, let me know.
Update at 11:15 p.m. on April 29: Jason sent me an e-mail stating that there won’t be a public viewing or funeral, per his mother’s wishes. However, in lieu of flowers, you can make a donation to the Lenoir County SPCA in her memory.

Remember our talk a few weeks ago, it will be difficult without our Moms, BUT there is a peace knowing our moms are with God and no longer in pain. May God surround you with the same angels he surrounded our family with and may you and your family find peace in knowing your mom is in a BETTER place. My family is here if you need anything and your family is in ALL our thoughts and prayers.
