Day-to-day. He’ll be evaluated when he gets back to Kinston. An ankle injury.

Is the Hines kid OK? I heard he was playing with an injured elbow/shoulder last night. He did a heck of a defensive job on the Carolina signee, the sophomore has some HEART. hope he’s OK. Oh yeah, and hope Reggie’s OK also.

Hanks, would like to see your evaluations on the play of John Wall, Ryan Kelly and Larry Drew who are all ACC prospects.

BW, I went to the games on Saturday night. Larry Drew is so smooth I like his game a lot. A lot of people around me were talking about they were not impressed because he doesnt score a lot. He could score if he wanted to but he is truly a point guard and looks to get everyone else involved. He always makes the right pass, he never forces a shot, and is always under control. I just love his demeanor. I think he will be a great player for UNC. I saw John Wall and CJ Leslie too. John Wall is alot more flashy point guard, I think he will be a good player. He can get out of control sometimes, but he very athletic and very exciting to watch. His jump shot needs some work though. CJ Leslie needs to hit the weight room, but he is only a sophmore, he is very athletic too. It was too bad Reggie got hurt the game we went to. He got hurt on the first or second play of the game, but Kinston still played hard without him. I think they definetly would have beaten Taft with him.

Thanks Chris. did you see Ryan Kelly from Ravenscroft?

  8. coliver Says:

No, I was only there for the last three games, he had played earlier in the day. From the people I talked to there he is solid player, probably not going to be an All-ACC player, but a solid contributer if he goes to an ACC school.

That’s what the Heels will need from Larry Drew, just take the reins and distribute the ball. I’m sure he can score a little, and that’s all we’ll need. If he can take care of the ball, play good on the ball D, and get the ball in the hands of our scorers, he’ll do just fine next year on the Hill.
