See Monday’s Free Press for the story and graphic. By the way, Richard Clark did the designing on the package and it is FANTASTIC. Hope you guys like it.

Also, I won’t have enough space to fit your votes in Monday’s paper. But it will run in a future edition. So, if you haven’t voted yet, you can still vote until noon on Monday.

Happy New Year!

i really liked the article in todays paper. very well done and the order seems ok in my opinion. Go Tribe!

  2. oldtimer Says:

Article looked good. I wonder if you meant to use a group picture from the 2005 NL championship team?

  3. go twins Says:

I can agree with the first 2 but would have moved the Parrott accomplishment up to #3 and Josh Lovick’s showing up to #4. Those are both local to Kinston and, to me at least, are more notable than the others.

  4. Greg Melvin Says:

Pretty good, but how come you list only one of the no-hitters. They are pretty rare .

  5. canescoach Says:

ECU going to a bowl game……are you kidding me Hanks? That definitely did not constitute a #4 Ranking in that poll, as a matter of fact it didn’t constitute getting ranked at all! So what ECU made it to a bowl game and got throttled by South Florida! There were way to many accomplishments of other school, and young athletes that deserved that ranking more than ECU! You list Novicki’s no hitter which I voted for, but leave John Alphin’s out? It was his 1st Varsity start….Hanks again you never cease to amaze me!
